I have many conversations about metaphysics and spirituality every day, and the phrase "as above, so below" is commonly spoken. I often use the words "as within, so throughout."
What this means to me is that a great deal of our real, or outer, world is dictated by what we feel, believe, and emanate from our inner world or soul.
Since 1988, I've walked a path of learning about and healing in my inner world, and this newsletter would be much longer if I listed the changes it has made in my world outwardly. Since becoming a metaphysical hypnotherapist in 2007, I have gained a deeper wisdom about faith and trust that has significantly evolved my world to a more stable and secure place that I didn't know existed years ago.
How does this apply to the intensity of this week?
To many, a strong presence or persona of power is needed to protect the United States. To others, a great need for leadership with unity, restructuring, and global alignment will provide the protection we need.
I think they go hand in hand, but regardless of my opinion, I'd like to offer you a few thoughts about turning within and examining your fears.
The fears that caused this election to go the way it did for one set of voters are the same fears now that the election is over for the other set of voters: fear of world conflict or war, economic downfall, personal struggle, and loss.
Now, let's take a moment to talk more about faith and trust.
If you are reading my newsletter, you likely seek to feel more connected to Spirit, and all that metaphysics may represent. You likely desire greater faith in the Divine and greater trust in life as a whole.
So, I propose a suggestion.
I recommend that you take a moment to examine your spirituality. Consider a time when your faith was strong. Perhaps a moment when it was tested, and you found the courage to believe in a power greater than yourself or your circumstances, and there was resolve. Perhaps you had a divine synchronicity that bordered on, or you even called a miracle.
Has this happened to you? Do you remember a time, or few, when your faith was so strong that it proved itself as present, protective, and offering great relief? Did the world around you, or the outer world, seem to be a little different?
I suggest you use that memory now. Hold the deep truth that light eliminates shadow and that faith eliminates fear, but it's an inside job.
And whether or not a memory like this comes to mind readily, please close your eyes and hold a space of love for the world within and around you, no matter how you cast your vote. Allow that light to shine so brightly that you not only feel it within you but that you see it in the eyes of those you love, and more importantly, they see it in your eyes.
I promise you'll feel more grounded, more trusting, and likely more at ease.
And just to add, this isn't a message just about the election. It's about any of your life's affairs. As we focus on the light that is available within and deepen into it, there's magic available, and it will show itself throughout.
It's no secret that I've been called Pollyanna for my constant desire to look for the bright side, but I've worked pretty hard to hike around every rock on this steep trail to trust life more. I've skinned my knees, gotten muddy, and had to search for water a time or two. But that view upon high... That fresh air... It's so worth it to keep practicing this faith and trust game.
So, if you will, let's hang out at the top of the trail, where the view is vast. Let's seek that amazing panorama where we allow the sun that rises every day to shine upon our souls and fill us up.
